Hair and the scalp can release bacteria, dandruff, and other particles that pose a potential source of infection. Our fabric surgical cap: Bandana Essential
The Bandana Essential is our model for an outstanding surgical cap. The fabric cap is made from pure sustainable materials, namely 65% GRS-certified recycled polyester and 35% conventional cotton. With a comfortable weight of 150 g/m², the cap is barely noticeable on the head, and the fabric makes it colorfast, easy to care for, and particularly sustainable.
Thanks to the recycled polyester content derived from plastic waste, the bandana makes an active contribution to environmental protection—without compromising on quality. The particularly lightweight fabric ensures a comfortable fit—even during long workdays. The high wash resistance at 95°C guarantees hygienic cleanliness, as required in clinical settings.
The one-size-fits-all design flexibly adapts to various head shapes thanks to the practical tie at the back of the neck, offering individual size adjustability for an optimal fit.
The twill fabric used is particularly lightweight and feels pleasantly soft against the skin, without slipping or constricting—even when worn for long periods. At the same time, the material remains dimension-stable, even after many washes, and retains its fit and appearance over time.
Our fabric caps are available in eleven different colors. This is not only because we want to cater to every taste, but also to allow for differentiation. This is because different colors are often used in medicine and healthcare as a way to distinguish between different departments. Care instructions for surgical caps:
- Boil wash: Normal wash cycle at a maximum of 95 °C
- Do not bleach
- Gentle drying (tumble dryer up to a maximum of 60 °C)
- Iron at moderate heat, maximum 150 °C (steam function permitted)
- Professional dry cleaning possible (symbol P in a circle)
